Starting with the fall of 2018, the One Sound Association put the city of Baia Mare on the national map of jazz, with a chic, valuable, well-organized cultural project. One Jazz Festival is one of the few independent jazz festivals in Romania (it is not funded from public funds, only from sponsorships, partnerships and donations). This year 14 artists from 4 countries have performed on the festival stage. Including Sorin Zlat Band (ROMANIA / BRAZIL), Finucci Bros Quartet (UNGARIA), Dusha Connection (AUSTRIA) & Alex Calancea Band (REPUBLICA MOLDOVA)

After the presentation of the CD that took place in the famous jazz club Porgy & Bess in Vienna, followed by several recitals at famous festivals such as Jazz Plaza International Festival of Havana, RARA Festival in Italy and Petrovac Jazz Fest in Montenegro, following the concert this fall, the Hong Kong Jazz Festival. “Merak” proves that classical jazz can have a timeless sound, not old and gray.
